“Group – How One Therapist and a Circle of Strangers Saved My Life” – By Christie Tate

This memoir written by Christie Tate about her own therapeutic experience will keep you interested and get you thinking. This book is truly amazing, it is very well written and fulfilling to read. Christie recounts her therapeutic journey from her very first therapy session to where she is currently, in the present day. Readers are able to follow along with Christie’s thoughts, feelings and experiences as she learns the powers of group therapy. This book is a page turner and truly feels like you are on the decade-long journey with Christie through her transformative therapy journey. Her very unique therapist and encounters with the personalities she meets during group therapy truly make this book the amazing read that it is.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick and interesting read. It would also be beneficial to those on their own therapy journey.

***Trigger warning – The book contains struggles with eating disorders and slight self harm***
